Narrator: Welcome to this month's Marketing Monthly video. In this episode, we're going to be discussing three tips for getting your new care home out there.
Getting your care home in front of your community is really important, especially in a sector where trust and credibility are valued so highly. A lot of care providers think marketing comes when they're ready to open the doors, but for the best results, the strategy should start well before that. Here are our three tips for getting your new care home out there.
Number one: generate early interest effectively. People expressing interest in your care home will most likely want an in-person experience before committing, so once you've sparked that initial awareness, be ready to act on it. Prioritise creating a marketing suite or showroom that offers a sneak peek into the care home's design. When people are visiting, make sure it's staffed by a dedicated customer relationship manager who knows how to handle enquiries and can provide the support an individual or family seeking care might need.
Number two: build local brand awareness. Launch brand awareness campaigns well in advance using various channels, like leaflets, social media, outdoor branding and targeted online activity. Make sure your online campaigns include optimising your website for SEO, keeping the needs of local residents in mind. By establishing a strong local presence, you set the stage for a familiar and trusted image in the community.
Number three: run intent-focused campaigns. Implement intent-focused campaigns around four to six months before the care home opens. Target people actively searching for care homes through strategic search campaigns on Google and Bing, addressing both immediate and future planning needs. You can use precise targeting and retargeting strategies, and even run recruitment marketing campaigns alongside to attract skilled care workers, for a well-rounded approach to your pre-opening efforts.
