Balhousie Care Group is one of the country’s leading providers of elderly and specialist care.

They have 25 homes, 1000 residents and 1500 staff and have built their company around the individual needs of their residents, with personalised care plans and a culture that encourages maximum input from residents, relatives and their families.

Balhousie’s driving philosophy is personalisation of care. From care plans to activities to menus, their culture supports and appreciates the individual needs of every single resident.

The Challenge

When we met the team at Balhousie, they needed a bespoke plan and wanted to work with an independent marketing team to support them.

They had a brand new home, in a very rural location, so we knew that if we could make this home work then we would be able to copy the same structure across more of their homes.


  • Setting up a consultation to understand their business specifically and what their USPs are compared to the competitors in the area.
  • Suggesting improvements on websites to ensure they are set up with all necessary calls to action, lead triggers and easy navigation.
  • Targeted customer acquisition campaign using Google.
  • Tailored remarketing strategy on Facebook.
  • Implementing bid strategies to receive the maximum amount of leads for the minimum cost per acquisition.
  • Using our Smooth Analytics platform to listen to calls, track stats and view live chat leads.
  • Daily monitoring, management and refinement of the campaigns.
  • Monthly campaign meetings and feedback reports.
  • Account manager working closely with client relationship manager to ensure that leads received were converted.
  • Getting to know the business and keeping a keen interest so we could constantly feedback suggestions or improvements.
  • Lead handling training with the key care managers to ensure everyone is aligned with the same goal.
